Early warning of the risk of self-injurious or suicidal behaviour.
The overall objective of the project is to investigate the potential application of an expert system to support clinical diagnosis based on a predictive and intelligent model capable of providing early warning of the risk of self-injurious or suicidal behaviour and to support decision making in the management of cases in primary care.
Early identification, through Primary Care professionals, of the appearance of self-harming or suicidal behaviour or the worsening of previously detected behaviour, will enable the necessary mechanisms to be triggered to tackle such behaviour, through personalised interventions, thus preventing the person from making an attempt on their own life.
